Why NetrIQ

Open over locked-in. Hybrid over single-mode. Software over hardware bundles.

The video surveillance market is split between expensive enterprise stacks, cheap proprietary hardware, and cloud-only newcomers that demand their own cameras. NetrIQ sits across the gap — an open, AI-native software layer that runs on what you already own.

What this means for you

A short list of the pain we remove, side by side with what most VMS deployments still look like.

The way most VMS works

  • One vendor. Their cameras, their software, or nothing.
  • Per-camera license fees. Annual maintenance on top.
  • Rip-and-replace your existing CCTV before anything works.
  • Static IP, port forwarding, VPN to view from outside.
  • AI is an upsell, gated behind another license.
  • Scrub through hours of footage to find one event.
  • Plates entered on paper. Visitor register on paper.
  • Cloud-only or on-prem-only. Pick one and live with it.

The way NetrIQ works

  • Any vendor. Any network. Hikvision, Dahua, ONVIF, 4G SIM cams — all in one console.
  • Subscription pricing aligned to the cameras you actually want analytics on.
  • Software-only. Your existing cameras stay; a Site Agent bridges them in.
  • Cloud relay handles remote view — no port forwarding, no static IP.
  • AI is the default. Detection, plates, PoI tracking, forensic scan all in.
  • Detection history searchable by class, time, camera. Forensic scan on demand.
  • Plate logs and gate registry written automatically.
  • Hybrid by default — recording where you want it, control plane in the cloud.
The four arguments

What we actually mean by “the intelligent eye.”

Vendor-agnostic, network-agnostic

Most premises run a multi-vintage mix — Hikvision DVRs that pre-date the manager, Dahua cameras that arrived with the new wing, a couple of 4G SIM cams covering the back gate, a Wi-Fi cam in the manager’s cabin. NetrIQ absorbs all of it. RTSP, ONVIF, HTTP snapshot fallback. Public IP or no public IP. The platform doesn’t care.

Hybrid edge + cloud, by design

Real-time detection runs at the edge so alerts fire in the second they should. Recording stays local for bandwidth and retention. The cloud handles remote viewing, multi-site, and the cross-camera intelligence that benefits from a global view. Pick what lives where; the platform doesn’t force you.

Software-only and open

NetrIQ is software. We don’t sell you a camera. That means you keep your hardware leverage, you keep choice, and you keep portability. For regulated markets, pair NetrIQ with NDAA-compliant cameras. For everyone else, run it on the Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, and Sparsh hardware your sites already standardised on.

Hardened for the field, not the lab

Real deployments run mixed networks, mixed vintages, intermittent uplinks, and plate formats that defeat off-the-shelf OCR. NetrIQ’s plate engine handles HSRP and regional formats with multi-frame consensus. The product is tested against the conditions that actually trip surveillance — low light, vendor-mix, network drops — not the showroom.

Pricing model

Pay for what you turn on, per camera.

Cameras differ in how you use them. A car park gate camera doesn’t need the same tier as the live wall in the control room. NetrIQ prices by camera tier, not by camera count alone.

Record & detect

Continuous recording plus baseline AI detection. Alerts on configured rules. Right tier for most cameras on a site.

Plates & gates

License-plate recognition added on top of record + detect. Auto-populated gate log and vehicle registry.

Analytics & PoI

Counting, occupancy, heatmaps, and Persons-of-Interest tracking. For control-room and high-value coverage.

Live wall

Cameras intended for the operations video wall. Full live-view, no analytics requirement.

Forensic-on-demand

Lower-cost tier for cameras you mostly archive but occasionally scan. Forensic detection runs only when you ask.

Custom

Multi-site, multi-tenant, regulated environments. We’ll size and price it on the actual deployment.
